Let’s create better parenting support for multicultural families ​in Kyoto! Each session focuses on different parenting stages, ​with group discussions to share ideas and experiences.

This workshop aims to create a society where multicultural families can ​raise children with confidence in Japan. Using participants’ experiences ​and ideas, we will shape practical resources and support.

Why Join Our Workshop?

Are you navigating the challenges of parenting in a ​multicultural environment? Whether you're a foreign parent ​raising children in Japan or a Japanese parent with a foreign ​partner, our workshops are here to help you connect, share, ​and learn in a supportive community.

This workshop is all about making parenting support ​information more accessible and helpful for multicultural ​families. We’ll think about the best ways to share important ​information that parents need.

Each session focuses on a specific stage of parenting. We’ll ​have group discussions to talk about:

☑︎ What kind of information is most useful for each stage ​of parenting.

After moving to Kyoto in 2022 through our international marriag​e, we faced difficulties finding parenting information in Engli​sh during pregnancy and childbirth. This experience motivated us ​to start “Mom & Dad Japan” to support foreign parents living ​in Japa​n.

Can I bring my child?

Yes, we warmly welcome parents with children! The venues ​on 2/15 and 3/1 will have a kids’ space, and childcare ​professionals will be available during the workshop.

How much does it cost to join the workshop?

There is no participation fee.​

Can I still join if my child doesn’t meet the age ​requirement listed?

Please contact the office for inquiries.

Do I need to prepare anything before attending?

No special preparations are needed. Details will be sent to ​participants via email in advance.

What should I do if I need to cancel my ​registration?

Please notify the office as soon as possible.

Is parking available?

Please use nearby paid parking facilities.
